Parish Record Office or Graveyard Visits

You may have already done your family tree research yourself, but live far away from record offices that hold details to go back further. In this case I can go to the relevant record office to find the information you require.

I live within easy reach of the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, the Bath Record Office, and the Bristol Record Office. The Somerset Record office in Taunton and the Gloucestershire Record Office (covering modern South Gloucestershire) in Gloucester are further afield but also within reach.

I am also happy to undertake wider travel to record offices further afield on your behalf.

Graveyards sometimes provide extra information on your ancestors – for example an exact death date, or a child you may have missed because their birth and death fell between census returns. If the parish church you require falls in Wiltshire, Swindon, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North-East Somerset, and Bristol I can go to the graveyard and physically hunt for your ancestors, providing digital photographs of their monuments and headstones.

Record office and graveyard visits are charged at my hourly rate plus travel expenses.

Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
